At the end of October, I decided that I was going to start going to a gym and become a more fit version of myself. Of course I am not always the best at sticking to new routines or changes, surely I am not alone in that. 😉 I am very diligent at times and then there are periods where I fall off of the wagon. I have not yet made the full lifestyle change that I really need in order to see results. Diet is usually the issue here, but physically I am feeling better, so that is a plus. I try to go to the gym three days out of the week. There are some days where my schedule does not permit my attendance. I work from home, so leaving the house to go to the gym also puts me in an awkward spot due to scheduling conflicts on occassion, and I can’t just stop on my way home from work. I have found myself looking for something that I can do around the house when I have 20 minutes to spare throughout the day.
I found just the thing for this. I came across resistance bands from Core Fitness Zone. I had been thinking about getting some already and I happened upon this great opportunity for me to try this particular set. So I went for it. I like to try new things and I like to explore options. I get a little bored sometimes, too, so variety is also nice. You never really know what you will find that most appeals to you.
Even though I go to the gym, I often find myself feeling lost and wondering what exactly to do to get a real benefit from my workouts. I am an amateur. My gym is rarely staffed and I even go during the “open” hours. Core Fitness Zone emails you a detailed ebook after purchase. That arrived to my email before the bands came in the mail. I thought that was nice as I was able to do some reading about them before they arrived. I was also able to plot out what I wanted my workout schedule to be. It is 47 pages, but each page contains quite a lot of information. It explains to you how to use the items included in the package, make the most of your workouts and gives several exercises for you to do, WITH PICTURES. Its absolutely great for beginners and may even fill in some blanks for some that are more experienced in the fitness category.
When the package arrived, I was pretty excited. I had been looking forward to its arrival, especially after reading through the ebook. The package contained the following:
- A Core Fitness Zone bag to keep all of the pieces in. (Awesome!)
- Five resistance bands in different colors and weights. Each of these bands has a hook set up and the weight listed on the end, that way you can combine weights. You can take your resistance from five pounds all the way up to 105 with this set.
- There is a door anchor attachment. You can place this at any height around your door for use.
- Two hand handles
- Two foot straps
- One ankle cuff
There is a lot of versatility with this kit. Prior to receiving it and looking through it, I had no idea how much I was actually going to be able to use this set. It exceeded my expectations. The booklet is great. Make sure that you read it. Most of the exercises listed in it are ones that I have done at the gym on machines. Now I can do them in the comfort of my own home very easily. I pay $42 a month for my gym membership, for just a membership and no guidance. These cost less than $25. ($22.95 at the time of publication of this blog.) And guess what? I get to keep them at home for repeated use for the one flat fee. I think that this set up by Core Fitness Zone is a winner.
